Just received the 3D printed fiber reinforced nylon steering quadrants and rudder arms: four less pieces of metal on the boat. 5 days after uploading the files to the manufacturer we receiving finished parts. Similar strength to alternative CNC cutting from aluminum billet at 1/3rd the cost and zero waste from cutting. All four parts weigh less than 9 lbs. Adjustable tube end fittings in fiber reinforced plastic as well from IGUS.

Waiting for the mast to be stepped on March 27th.
The boat is now in Marina Del Rey, CA at its slip waiting for the mast so we can start sailing.
Unfortunately the mast was damaged shortly after being stepped so the boat had to be towed +45 miles up the coast of California to its slip while the mast is being repaired. During the 14-18kt delivery with both PORT & STBD foils lowered 50% it began lifting out of the water at 10 knots as designed.

It was lifted by crane, foils and rudders were installed from below, it was swung out over the water and launched.
The boat launched during the holidays in Southern California from the
yard at Westerly Marine in Santa Ana to Newport Beach.
